1099 Quarterly Tax Estimator · Last updated 15 August 2026
The short version: everything you type into this app — your income, your tax figures, your payments — stays on your device. There is no account and no login, and we never see your numbers. We do collect anonymous statistics about how the app is used, which never include any of your financial data.
1099 Quarterly Tax Estimator is made by Firefly Software. You can reach us at fireflysoftware1@gmail.com.
The app has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number, and there is nothing to log in to.
All of the following lives in the app's own storage on your phone, and nowhere else:
We never transmit this data and we cannot see it. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it — so if it matters to you, export your CSV first (free, no Premium needed) or keep your own records.
We never ask for either. The app does not have a field for a Social Security number, and it does not connect to any bank or financial account.
If you allow notifications, deadline reminders are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. No notification content passes through any server.
Premium is sold through the App Store's In-App Purchase system. Apple (or Google Play on Android) processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details.
So that your purchase keeps working across reinstalls and devices, we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier that it generates itself. It does not receive your name, your email, or any of the tax or income data you enter — that never leaves your device.
We use this only to know whether Premium is active for you, and to see anonymous, aggregate counts such as how many people opened the purchase screen. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to see how the app is used — for example how many people finish setup, how often the purchase screen is opened, and which screens get used. This is how we decide what to improve.
What it includes: the event itself (a screen was opened, setup was finished), your device model, operating system version and country, and an anonymous identifier that Firebase generates for your installation of the app.
What it never includes: your name, your email address, and any figure you enter into the app — your income, your tax amounts, your AGI, your payments. None of that is ever sent anywhere.
We do not request the advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not use this data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Firebase's privacy information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Because your tax and income data is on your device, you control it entirely. Deleting an entry removes it; deleting the app removes everything. We hold no copy of it, so there is nothing on our side to request, erase or hand over.
The anonymous usage statistics described above are held by Firebase and are not tied to your identity. Uninstalling the app ends collection and retires the installation identifier. If you would like us to delete the usage data associated with your installation, write to us and we will do it.
The app is a tax tool for self-employed adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold no account and no server-side record of your finances: your tax and income data is already in your hands, and the CSV export exists so you can take it elsewhere at any time, free of charge. The only data we hold is the anonymous usage statistics described above, and we will delete those on request.
If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with an updated date.
